How will Counselling Help?

For more information on counselling, please take a look at the following websites:

How often will the work be reviewed?

It is my aim to ensure that you are fully satisfied with the service provided and I will therefore review this on a regular basis.  If at any time you do not feel satisfied, please let me know.

Do you offer phone and online consultations?

It is better to work with somebody face-to-face but I appreciate that this is not always possible.  I can provide ‘phone consultations and online sessions on a 1:1 basis if necessary.

Do I have to talk about things from the past that I find upsetting or difficult?

How much or how little you wish to focus on the past is up to you.  It may be that you want time to reflect on this or you may prefer to concentrate more on the here and now.

How many sessions will I need?

I offer both short and long-term support and can tailor things to suit your needs and requirements.

Will you see me with my partner / family member?

Again, if this is something that you would like and would be of benefit, of course.

I think my child needs to speak with somebody but I’m not sure if they will come?

This is very common so please do get in touch.  There are a number of ways in which I can support you and your child.

Will you see my child on their own?

I will offer a very flexible service that accommodates the wishes of both you and your child.  This decision will be made with you and based on a number of things such as their age and the nature of their difficulties.

Can you see my child in school / college?

I will happily meet in school or at college if this suits you best.  However, it is my preference for the first appointment to be at my consulting room at Wyre Forest House.
