Use of ‘cookies’

Like many other websites, this website uses cookies.  ‘Cookies’ are small pieces of information sent by an organisation to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow that website to recognise you when you visit.  They collect statistical data about your browsing actions and patterns and do not identify you as an individual.

It is possible to switch off cookies by setting your browser preferences.  For more information on how to switch off cookies on your computer, visit the full cookies policy.  Turning cookies off may result in a loss of functionality when using the website.

The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the site, where visitors have come to the site from and the pages they visited. For more information on Google Analytic’s privacy policy visit here.

Google Maps – These are Google Maps third-party cookies, which are unique identifiers to allow traffic analysis to Google Maps.

How is your information used?

To reply to your queries in the contact form.

I will store your email address, name and contact number, gathered from the contact form, for the purposes of initial contact only.  If a counselling session is booked, I will share further information on the counselling data storage policy and procedure at the first appointment.  The data from the initial contact form will be stored on an encrypted USB device. If a counselling session is not booked, I will delete your information from my records.

Your email address is transmitted normally over the internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so please be aware of the information disclosed in the email.  If you provide a contact number, the same data storage principles apply. I will keep this for the purposes of initial contact and if further counselling is pursued, additional consent will be sought for data storage.
